ERP Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:
The ERP Analyst is accountable for supporting ERP, Planning, Scheduling, and Inventory Management related continuous improvement initiatives to support activities at Xerxes Tank sites and with a focus on ERP related activities such as product part and structure management.
Work in conjunction with Parts Coordinator, Engineering and Design Team to improve and maintain consistent data across all areas of use.   Offer continuous improvement suggestions to standardize and streamline the overall parts management functions.  Support the Operations Team by assisting with part queries, new product launches, stock obsolesce, bill of material refinement and audition 
Will work with Supply Chain Systems Manager on process improvements, best use of IFS alerts, creation of alert lobbies and reporting.  Work with various teams on training and troubleshooting, as new processes are introduced.


DUTIES:
A) SAFETY

•    Maintain a safe working environment by aligning with corporate safety rules and regulations, and ensuring a culture of safety
•    Ensure that the equipment and processes operate efficiently and safely
•    Provide support to generation of HAA and SOP

B) Day to Day Management
Provide ERP planning, scheduling, and inventory management support to the operations team.
•    IFS product structure management: Part setup, structure/routings adjustment (ie. BOMs, work guidelines), troubleshooting/training, document management, part inquiries and material / time adjustments in alignment with engineering consultation as needed
•    External Tank Builder / Parts Catalogue: assist with data integrity between Tank Builder, Parts Catalogue and IFS parts.  Offer continuous improvement suggestions, to consolidate and streamline information, within IFS
•    IFS Tank Configurator: assist with updates across various Configurator menus, structures, and rules.  Participate in continuous improvement analysis and testing.

C) Continuous Improvement
•    Assist with CI initiatives aligning cross functional teams and provide training to employees on new product/process introductions
•    Develop/maintain robust tools/processes for:
o    CO/DO/SO dating
o    CO/DO/SO ERP exception management
o    S&OP Process
o    CO to DO to SO process flow
o    Inventory management
•    Develop and maintain parts and inventory process documentation such as SOPs
•    Collect, manage and analyze relevant data and health checks/metrics to assess the effectiveness of all operational functions
•    Develop and implement inventory strategies to optimize inventory levels of FG and SFG and lead-time:
•    Lead IFS continuous improvement with the aim of eliminating offline tools.  Ideally, all functions should be performed within IFS to minimize non-value-added resources to execute the planning and shipping functions

 

REQUIREMENTS:
-    Minimum 1 to 2 years of related experience
-     Minimum Community College education in Data management, Data science & analytics, or Engineering
-    MRP/ERP training - required  
-    Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and best practices (ideally IFS) with experience with ERP system implementation is an asset
-    Strong computer skills (excel, access)
-    Strong data management skills 
-    Solid understanding of manufacturing operations and methodologies
-    Must be well organized and have strong interpersonal skills
-    Highly developed analytical abilities
-    Continuous improvement mindset
