Summary

As a Product Engineer, Nuclear and Space, you will play a critical role in supporting complex engineered product solutions and driving technical excellence across the business. Acting as a technical expert within your assigned market segment, you will apply engineering standards and methodologies to deliver high-quality, customized solutions that directly impact customer satisfaction, project success, and revenue outcomes. This role ensures the successful execution of product development, continuous improvement initiatives, and technical support activities within a fast-paced and demanding environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and support run-to-order and engineered-to-order products, including costing, configuration, testing, certifications, and technical support
  • Manage projects, including timelines, non-conformance reports (NCRs), customer solutions, and reporting deliverables
  • Execute project plans to meet quality, cost, and timeline targets
  • Provide technical recommendations to support sales and product development decisions
  • Handle product configuration and resolve complex technical challenges
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, product enhancements, and maintenance projects
  • Serve as a technical liaison with customers through meetings, visits, and ongoing communication
  • Participate in standard committees and contribute to engineering best practices
  • Perform administrative functions including ERP entries, documentation, reporting, training, and compliance activities
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, operations, engineering teams, regulatory bodies, and customers to deliver technical solutions
  • Support quoting activities and technical discussions aligned with customer requirements

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical)
  • 3–5 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of engineering design principles and product configuration
  • Understanding of QA/QC systems such as ISO, N299, and NQA-1
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications with high attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage technical problem-solving and develop custom engineered solutions
  • Experience applying engineering standards and executing project timelines effectively
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high mental demand and occasional plant exposure
  • Professional Engineer (P. Eng) or PMP designation considered an asset

The Salary Range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000. The provided range represents the anticipated base salary and target incentive for this position. The final total compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity considerations. This job is vacant to fill a New position.
