Molder

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Molder is accountable for producing single wall and double wall shells, domes, and related products.

Responsibilities:

• Follow established procedures to apply material by hand and/or machine to produce standard and nonstandard components and products
• Prepare mold or tool surface properly with release film, wax and other part release products
• Utilize resin, glass, catalyst, mold releases and related materials, adjusting for changing climatic conditions
• Trim parts to the proper dimensions based on process sheets, established standards, drawings and verbal instructions
• Inspect laminate surfaces for defects, imperfections, foreign material or other non-conformance, identifying and correcting as necessary
• Other direct Molding activities as required
• Adhere to Company Health, Safety and Security rules
• Develop and demonstrate a positive health and safety attitude Ensuring that all incidents are reported immediately to immediate supervisor; participate in investigations as required

Skills:

• Strong production and quality manufacturing skills
• Good understanding of the English language including verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and drawings
• Ability to work effectively with others and be part of a dynamic team
• Ability to learn new tools, equipment and material used in above ground and undergound storage tank manufacturing and assembly
• Ability to solve mathematical problems related to position
• Experience in a Lean manufacturing environment/ with Lean principles is an asset.
