Summary
Responsibilities
Employee Relations, Coaching & Leader Enablement
- Lead sensitive and complex employee relations matters including investigations, conflict resolution, progressive discipline, and performance management.
- Coach supervisors and managers to build leadership capability, improve communication, and apply policies consistently.
- Influence decision‑making and advance professional, trust‑based leadership practices across the plant.
Leadership Development & Capability Building
- Equip frontline and mid‑level leaders with tools to drive accountability, effective communication, and team performance.
- Support succession planning and capability development aligned to the plant’s rapid growth trajectory.
Orientation & Workforce Development
- Partner with Plant Leadership, Sales and Field Services Team and Talent Acquisition to align workforce planning with production requirements.
- Translate operational forecasts into actionable workforce strategies and monitor progress toward hiring and capability goals.
- Strengthen onboarding and orientation programs that improve early engagement and long‑term retention.
- Support development plans that build critical capabilities across the business.
HR Metrics, Total Rewards & Compliance
- Analyze HR data to identify trends and present insights that enable informed business decisions.
- Support compensation and reward decisions to maintain fairness and internal equity.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, company policies, and audit expectations.
Employee Experience, Engagement & Culture
- Advance a positive, safe, and inclusive workplace culture anchored in company values.
- Lead engagement action planning, improve feedback loops, and support recognition and wellbeing initiatives.
- Strengthen communication channels and promote programs that support mental health and a connected, engaged workforce.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Minimum: College diploma (2‑year) + 7 years progressive HR experience.
- Preferred: University degree + 5 years progressive HR experience.
- A seasoned HR professional with 5+ years of strong, progressive experience, capable of operating independently in a startup plant environment.
- HR experience in manufacturing or production environments is an asset.
- Strong employee relations and investigation experience is required.
- Experience supporting both hourly and salaried workforces.
- Demonstrated experience as a strategic HR partner with strong judgment, critical thinking, and influence skills.
Additional Assets
- Experience using SuccessFactors.
- SHRM, CHRP, or similar HR designation.
