Summary
As a Pipeline Applications Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring pipeline solutions perform successfully in real-world conditions. Acting as the technical bridge between product, field operations, and customers, you will support the design, installation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of pipeline systems. Your work will directly impact customer success, product performance, and the adoption of composite pipeline technology in the oil and gas industry.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical expert supporting customers with pipeline system performance, troubleshooting, and issue resolution, including field incidents and non-conformities.
- Ensure pipeline solutions are designed, installed, and operated in alignment with project requirements and performance expectations.
- Collaborate with field teams, account managers, and engineers to resolve technical challenges and improve product outcomes.
- Spend significant time in the field monitoring operations, supporting installations, and identifying opportunities to enhance performance.
- Provide technical guidance during project planning and new construction to ensure pipeline systems align with application parameters.
- Analyze pipeline data and operational performance to identify improvement opportunities and drive continuous innovation.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships by acting as a trusted technical advisor and problem solver.
- Contribute to advancing industry acceptance of composite pipeline technology through technical credibility and field expertise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with exposure to upstream, construction, or pipeline operations environments.
- Experience working with pipeline systems, including field operations, installations, or construction support.
- Strong understanding of pipeline applications, with preference for experience in non-metallic or composite pipeline systems.
- Proficiency with technical tools such as pipeline flow simulation software (e.g., PipeSim or similar).
- Strong technical communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and take ownership of outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
- Highly motivated, self-sufficient, and solution-oriented with a strong customer focus.
