Branch Manager, Operations

Summary

The Branch Manager, Operations plays a critical leadership role in the success of Flexpipe’s operations by ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery across the Midland and George West depots. Reporting to the Director, Operations, this role is accountable for leading branch operations, driving customer satisfaction, ensuring operational readiness, strengthening HSE performance, and delivering reliable execution. Success in this position requires strong leadership, operational discipline, and the ability to build a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Midland branch to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable service delivery.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to branch employees, including performance management, training, development, and workforce planning.
  • Plan and coordinate staffing, equipment availability, material readiness, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet customer and operational requirements.
  • Monitor and manage key performance indicators including safety, service quality, on-time delivery, utilization, customer satisfaction, and overall operational performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, workflow efficiency, service quality, and team effectiveness.
  • Ensure branch facilities, vehicles, tools, and equipment are properly maintained and operating safely.
  • Maintain accurate operational records, reports, and documentation while communicating branch priorities, issues, and results to leadership.
  • Champion a strong health, safety, and environmental culture by ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and safe work practices.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate operational, safety, service, and resource risks.
  • Partner closely with sales, supply chain, logistics, HSE, HR, finance, and field operations teams to support business objectives and branch growth.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and contractors, resolve operational challenges, and deliver exceptional service.
  • Support customer visits, operational reviews, and problem-solving initiatives that improve branch performance and responsiveness.
  • Perform other duties as required to support business needs and ensure smooth branch operations.

Qualifications

Required

  • College Diploma (3 years) or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 to 7 years of progressive leadership experience in operations, manufacturing, energy, oilfield services, industrial, or related environments
  • Valid Driver’s Licence
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams, managing performance, and supporting employee development
  • Strong planning, resource allocation, and operational workflow management skills
  • Knowledge of HSE programs, operational controls, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Experience managing budgets, cost controls, and operational performance metrics
  • Strong customer service orientation with proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using ERP, inventory, or operational management systems

Preferred

  • University Degree
  • 7 to 10 years of relevant leadership experience
  • Experience leading a large branch operation within an industrial, manufacturing, energy, or oilfield services environment
  • Strong financial acumen and experience driving operational improvements and business performance
