Sales Support Manager
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid)
Summary
The Sales Support Manager is responsible for driving operational execution and consistency across the region by leading the Project Coordinator team and ensuring alignment between sales, operations, finance, and logistics. This role directly impacts business performance by improving forecasting accuracy, managing backlog and inventory, and ensuring efficient order-to-cash processes. By strengthening cross-functional collaboration and optimizing workflows, this position enables the sales organization to meet customer commitments and achieve regional financial targets.
Responsibilities
- Lead forecasting and inventory planning processes, supporting monthly and quarterly outlooks while ensuring alignment between demand, backlog, and material availability.
- Oversee backlog management and order execution to ensure timely delivery, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Manage, coach, and develop the Project Coordinator team, including workload distribution, performance management, and training to drive consistency and accountability.
- Partner closely with sales, finance, logistics, and field operations to ensure seamless coordination of customer orders, pricing, and operational execution.
- Support and participate in regular operational and sales meetings, providing insights on backlog, forecasting, and performance metrics.
- Ensure accurate and timely invoicing through effective management of field tickets, documentation, and order processing requirements.
- Maintain and manage pricing structures, including price books and customer agreements, ensuring accuracy and consistency across systems.
- Support audits (financial, safety, API) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including ERP (IFS) enhancements, testing, and process optimization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a related field is preferred, not required.
- 5–7 years of leadership experience, including managing and developing teams in sales operations, supply chain, or a related function.
- Proven ability to manage forecasting, backlog, and inventory processes in a complex, fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership capability with a track record of coaching teams and improving performance.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with sales, finance, logistics, and operations teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience working within ERP systems (IFS preferred).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate pricing, margins, and operational performance.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- Industry experience in oil & gas, manufacturing, or field services environments is considered an asset.
