Summary:
We are seeking a Technical Training Coordinator to develop, implement, and manage effective employee training programs at Mattr & DSG-Canusa. In this role, you will collaborate with subject matter experts to create comprehensive training materials and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), organize and facilitate training sessions, and maintain detailed training records. The ideal candidate is an organized, proactive professional who is passionate about employee development and committed to upholding our company’s safety standards and ethical practices. This position offers an opportunity to play a key role in ensuring our workforce is skilled, safe, and aligned with organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the creation and rollout of engaging training programs that enhance employee skills and performance.
- Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for each department, ensuring consistency and quality in operations.
- Maintain comprehensive training records – including trainee lists, schedules, attendance, evaluations, and certifications
- Prepare regular reports on training activities and results for management review.
- Identify gaps in current training programs and recommend improvements or new training initiatives to enhance effectiveness and address emerging needs.
- Ensure all training activities adhere to safety standards, safe work practices, and the company’s Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.
- Promote a culture of safety and ethical behavior in all training sessions.
- Prepare, update, and distribute training materials (presentations, handouts, instructional notes, feedback forms) to support each session, ensuring content remains current, accurate, and effective.
- Plan and organize training sessions, including scheduling sessions, booking venues or training rooms, and coordinating with trainers, facilitators, and the management team to ensure smooth execution.
- Inform employees about upcoming training opportunities and provide them with all necessary information and materials.
- Serve as a point of contact to address any questions or concerns related to training.
- Lead or assist in delivering training sessions when required, using effective presentation and facilitation techniques to engage participants and enhance learning outcomes.
- Collect feedback from training participants and assess training outcomes to evaluate program effectiveness.
- Use insights and data to identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements to future training programs.
- Monitor training expenses to ensure they stay within budget.
- Seek out cost-effective training solutions and optimize resources without compromising quality.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in training and development.
- Research and suggest new training techniques, tools, or technologies to continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of training programs.
- Maintain an understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements related to workforce training.
- Ensure all training programs comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Demonstrated knowledge of training best practices, adult learning principles, and proficiency in creating instructional materials is a plus.
Education & Experience:
- Education: Technical course certification or diploma (required).
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred).
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a training coordinator, training specialist, or similar role, preferably in a technical or manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Demonstrated knowledge of training best practices, adult learning principles, and proficiency in creating instructional materials is a plus.
