Impact of this Role
What Success Looks Like
- Start assigned machines, monitor their operation, and accurately record operational data.
- Operate the machines required to produce end caps based on business needs.
- Read work orders and production schedules to identify required materials, dimensions, tolerances, and other specifications.
- Meet production and quality expectations while completing size changes and minimizing scrap.
- Safely operate multiple machines while following product specifications, process requirements, and packaging procedures.
- Complete all required material and labor reporting accurately.
- Support an Incident and Injury Free workplace by participating in relevant health, safety, and environmental measures.
- Follow Leader Standard Work expectations and operate equipment safely and effectively.
- When required, train new or junior employees using established control plans, with an emphasis on safe, efficient, and quality-focused work.
What You Bring to the Role
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their appropriate uses.
- Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and quality-control practices.
- Active listening, verbal communication, and the ability to participate effectively in a team environment.
- Visual acuity to inspect materials.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing demands.
- The ability to read, understand, and follow safety rules, work orders, training manuals, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and standard operating procedures.
Education and Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- At least one year of manufacturing experience.
