Sales & Operations Coordinator (Aerospace & Space)
Location: Vaughan, ON (Hybrid – 1 day/week on site)
Salary Range: CAD $65,000 - $75,000 + Incentive Bonus
Summary
Join MATTR's Shawflex Aerospace & Space team and play a critical role in ensuring the seamless execution of customer projects from quotation through delivery. As the Sales & Operations Coordinator, you will drive alignment between Sales, Engineering, Quality, Production, and Procurement to support complex customer orders, maintain delivery commitments, and help scale a rapidly growing business. This role directly enables commercial growth by ensuring accurate quotations, efficient order execution, and strong cross-functional coordination throughout the customer lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Lead Quotation & Proposal Coordination
- Develop detailed customer quotations by compiling material costs, vendor pricing, labor estimates, and production requirements.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Procurement, and Quality teams to validate technical requirements, lead times, inventory availability, and manufacturing feasibility.
- Review customer drawings and specifications to assess requirements and coordinate technical reviews when needed.
- Support account planning and quote prioritization in partnership with the Aerospace & Space Market Manager.
- Maintain accurate quote documentation and opportunity tracking within CRM and Salesforce systems.
- Support customer requests and commercial discussions related to quotations and existing opportunities.
Drive Order Execution & Change Management
- Serve as the central coordination point between Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Quality teams for customer orders.
- Monitor project progress, resolve internal roadblocks, and ensure alignment with customer delivery requirements.
- Enter and administer customer orders within the ERP system, including order acknowledgements, project setup activities, part creation, and bill of materials management.
- Coordinate with Procurement to support material planning requirements and maintain project schedules.
- Manage customer-driven drawing revisions, specification changes, and contract modifications while initiating change orders as required.
- Ensure accurate communication of customer requirements and project status across internal stakeholders.
Maintain Reporting & Data Integrity
- Keep Salesforce, CRM systems, quote pipelines, and tracking tools current and accurate.
- Support forecasting activities by providing input on quote activity, opportunity backlog, and order execution timing.
- Contribute to reporting that supports commercial and operational decision-making.
Support Quality, Compliance & Safety Programs
- Ensure commercial processes align with AS9100D, ISO 9001, and applicable industry requirements.
- Participate in health, safety, and environmental initiatives, including required training and reporting activities.
- Support compliance with Shawflex quality assurance standards and procedures.
Qualifications
Required
- 3-5 years of experience in project coordination, customer service, procurement, order administration, or a related function within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to review and understand engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Strong coordination skills with the ability to work effectively across Engineering, Production, Quality, Procurement, and Commercial teams.
- Experience working with ERP, CRM, Salesforce, or similar business systems.
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Preferred
- Degree or diploma in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Aerospace, Defense, Electrical Manufacturing, Nuclear, Electronics, Medical Device, Automotive, or other highly regulated manufacturing industry experience.
- Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering Technology diploma or related engineering education.
- Experience supporting quotation development, project administration, change management, or customer order execution.
- Familiarity with manufacturing environments involving engineered products and custom solutions.

- Hybrid work environment with preference for onsite presence approximately one day per week.

The Salary Range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000. The provided range represents the anticipated base salary and target incentive for this position. The final total compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.
