Full Time opportunity based in Fairfield,OH with attractive starting salary of USD 19.28/hr - eligible for overtime.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The position will be responsible for producing dual wall end caps with internal adhesive to create a pressure tight seal for capping wires, tubes and or cables.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Start machines, monitor their operations, and record operational data.
• Operate any of the machines used to produce end caps dependent on business needs.
• Produce dual wall end caps for wiring, tubing and/or cabling.
• Read work orders or production schedules to determine specifications, such as materials to be used or dimensions and tolerances.
• Ensure production/quality levels are met, perform size changes, and generate minimal scrap.
• Ability to run multiple machines simultaneously, know and follow all packaging procedures, all product and process specifications.
• Able to complete all paperwork reporting of material and labor as required.
• Participate in the planning and implementation of Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) -relevant measures (health, safety and environment) to promote an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) workspace.
• Ensure full adherence to the “Leader Standard Work” profile.
• Operate all equipment in a safe and effective manner.
• As required, provide training based on control plans to new and/or junior employees with a focus on performing work in a safe, efficient, quality minded manner.
• Other duties as assigned my management.
REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses.
• Knowledge of materials, production processes, quality control, and completion of training.
• Communication Skills- Active Listening and Verbal Communication; Actively participating in a team environment.
• Visual acuity to examine or inspect material.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, order jackets, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read, understand and comply with work directions, training manuals, safety rules, standard operating procedures.
• Standing for sustained periods of time.
• Making substantial movements/motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Frequently lifting and/or moving material weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Occasionally required to sit; climb and stoop, kneel or crouch.
