Summary

As a Tuber Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate application of tubing material to cable products. Success in this role directly supports production quality, operational efficiency, and on-time delivery within the Jacket Cell, contributing to overall plant performance and customer satisfaction.

 

Responsibilities

  • Verify that materials received align with router specifications for each cable order.

  • Set up machinery in accordance with router instructions to ensure accurate production readiness.

  • Operate equipment following established Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Support the Lead Press Operator to maintain continuous workflow and operational efficiency.

  • Monitor product quality and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Track and enhance machine and operator efficiency to optimize output.

  • Ensure production targets are met in alignment with established schedules.

  • Follow all safety standards and safe work practices at all times.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with 5S practices.

  • Uphold and adhere to the Mattr Code of Ethics and Business Conduct Standards.

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Strong reading comprehension skills to accurately follow router instructions and procedures.

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate production machinery.

  • Ability to operate the lead strip machine and use a computer keyboard.

  • Capability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.

  • Physical ability to move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, extended hours, weekends, and holidays as required.

  • Willingness to complete required training, including ISO 9000 principles.
