At this time, we are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor-Weekend Graveyards to join our AmerCable Operations Team.

Responsibilities:

• Communicates with employees to ensure compliance of safety, training, quality, mechanical, 5S and production requirement priorities
• Responsible for ISO9001 compliance within assigned area
• Responsible for communicating with PLOMS, Process Engineers, Planners and Production Control for specification compliance and  shipment requirements
• Responsible for a daily reporting of order completions
• Responsible for writing of AIR’s (quality deviations) when needed
• Monitors production of  product within area and reacts/responds to issues with correction methods to improve/ensure production consistently meets necessary production standards
• Leads by example with 5S program and continuous improvement initiatives and ensures operators within assigned area participate and support same
• Responsible for coaching /motivating employees to achieve their maximum potential giving them proper directions, Tools and Follow up
• Manages training/development of operators within assigned area in a manner that develops autonomy and creates development opportunities for operators
• Disciplines/coaches employees in a fair, legal and consistent manner
• Communicate with maintenance personnel about equipment issues
• Responsible for organization & 5’s of designated area, and do 5’s audits
• Responsible to ensure employees possess the necessary PPE to do their jobs
• Responsible for evaluating schedule, scheduling equipment & employees, communicating with production control & Planners
• Responsible to communicate/trouble shoot issues due to inaccurate routers, and BOM issues
• Responsible for approval of hourly employee time cards weekly (electronic) for payroll
• Reviews employee performance reviews, including probationary period reviews: (Cell Supervisor will perform evaluations) 30-60-90-120 On-The-Job Training Evaluations and annual evaluations
• Interviews potential candidates for selection and hiring and makes termination recommendations for employees with disciplinary/performance issues
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Adheres to all AmerCable’s Safety Standards and Safe Work Practices
• Follows and abides by AmerCable’s Code of Ethics and Business Conduct Standards

Skills preferred include:

• Ensure employees work safely and meet safety goals as determined by Safety Coordinator
• Produce a quality product that meets specifications within the required warehouse dates
• Coordinates and directs the activities of the production department to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality
• Inspects product to verify production specifications are met
• Trains and supervises production personnel
