Summary
Responsibilities
- Operate mobile equipment used for handling materials within the receiving department
- Transport products and materials to designated locations and equipment following established procedures
- Unload incoming materials from vendors and load reject materials in accordance with shipping and receiving procedures
- Operate and maintain receiving equipment to ensure functionality and efficiency
- Complete required documentation, including forklift inspections, inventory transactions, weight comparisons, compound usage reports, and raw material inventory reports
- Follow established procedures and guidelines for handling and processing materials
- Collaborate with team members to support overall operational efficiency
- Operate machinery in accordance with work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOP)
- Ensure production and material handling activities are completed according to the current work schedule
- Adhere to all safety rules and safe work practices at all times
- Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all company safety standards and comply with the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct Standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to read and understand work instructions and documentation
- Capable of working in a non-climate-controlled environment
- Ability to safely lift and move materials up to 75 lbs
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, extended hours, weekends, and holidays as required
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Ability to operate mobile equipment and computer systems
- Completion of required training, including ISO 9000 principles
