Summary

The Cabler Operator supports Mattr’s assembly operations by processing finished goods according to customer needs and expectations. This role is important to delivering quality products on time by safely operating equipment, handling materials, and maintaining an organized and efficient work area.

Responsibilities

Twist insulated conductors and strands together, and tape conductors and strands to the diameter and quality standards established in work instructions and routers.
Monitor product quality and identify opportunities for improvement.
Assist with machine operation in accordance with applicable work instructions and standard operating procedures.
Operate mobile equipment used to transport, store, restock, and load materials within the Assembly Department.
Follow visual cues and established departmental timelines.
Support team members as needed to improve operational efficiency.
Monitor and improve operator and machine efficiency.
Produce scheduled output on time.
Follow all housekeeping practices to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Adhere to all company safety standards and safe work practices.
Follow the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct Standards.
Work rotating eight-hour shifts, five days per week.
Work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
Ability to physically move materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
Ability to operate mobile equipment and computer systems.
Ability to complete required training, including ISO 9000 principles.
