At this time, we are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our AmerCable Finance Team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform month-end, quarter-end, year-end close process, including preparing entries, and ensure the accuracy of general ledger, financial statements, and reporting
• Drive consistent and effective policies and governance procedures during account reconciliation cycle, including developing remediation plan to resolve unreconciled accounts and adjust open items
• Work closely with auditors and finance / accounting team to perform periodic audits to ensure that internal controls and reporting requirements are adequate and consistent
• Drive closure of open audit issues and proactively work to prevent future issues / manage risk. Lead resulting corrective action process implementation and follow up throughout the organization
• Develop, implement, and maintain training programs and internal controls to communicate policies, procedures and concerns across the organization as needed to ensure that GAAP/IFRS, Mattr policies, and statutory requirements are adhered to across the organization
• Perform state sales and property tax assessment and ensure tax payments are remitted to the proper state according to state requirements
• Prepare monthly rebate and commissions analysis and ensure proper disbursement to customers / vendors
• Assist with preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements, and reporting packages
• Provide assistance to other finance and Tax department team members as requested and assigned

Skills preferred include:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance from an accredited university or college
• 5+ years of accounting experience at a big 4 accounting firm or in operational controllership role within a manufacturing environment
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including GAAP and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley)
• Prior exposure to IFRS, month end close and inter-company accounting
• Highly proficient in MS Excel spreadsheet
• Experience in the use of Oracle / One Stream 
• Strong controllership and compliance mindset, individual with high level of integrity
• Experience working in an international matrixed organization
• Ability to work well under pressure with strict deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude
• Strong partnering capabilities, collaborative and inclusive when working with others
• Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lead and drive change within an organization
• Problem solver: analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinker
• Possess a very high sense of urgency
