Financial Accountant

Summary

As a key contributor within our Accounting & Finance team, the Financial Accountant plays an essential role in maintaining accurate financial records that support Mattr’s decision-making and overall financial integrity. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, this position leads the reconciliation and analysis of general ledger and sub-ledger accounts, prepares and posts financial transactions, and ensures compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. This role also supports month‑end close, intercompany confirmations, payroll-related reporting, and provides research and analytical insights that help guide operational and strategic outcomes.


Responsibilities

  • Reconcile sub-ledgers and analyze general ledger accounts to support financial statement preparation.
  • Prepare and post payroll-related entries, allocations, and accruals for Composites entities.
  • Record and manage intercompany transactions, including recharges between entities and divisions, and complete monthly IC AR, IC AP, IC Loans, and payroll accrual reconciliations.
  • Support month-end close through preparation of journals, schedules, and required supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate and perform intercompany reconciliations and confirmations between divisions.
  • Support external audit deliverables and assist in maintaining and testing procedural controls (Bill 198).
  • Complete special projects and additional duties to advance departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Prepare Parabeam Internal Royalty calculations, invoicing, and IFS entries; maintain monthly fuel allowance reports; submit headcount reporting and intercompany forms in OneStream.
  • Assist in financial reporting, bank reconciliations, and processing day‑to‑day monthly transactions.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders including payroll, HR, finance teams, subsidiaries, and external auditors.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • University degree.
  • 3–5 years of related experience.

Preferred

  • CPA designation preferred or working toward CPA.
