Regional Sales Manager - Fuel

POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Vice President, Fuel Markets, the Regional Sales Manager – Southeast US is responsible for achieving sales volume and profitability in the underground fuel storage market through planning, control, and execution of XERXES’s sales goals and objectives. 

 

DUTIES:
Sales and Business Development

  • Establishing, pursuing, and maintaining relationships with territory accounts, by working withe manufacturing sales representatives to engage site owners, distributors, contractors and/or engineering companies in the underground fuel storage market to develop demand for XERXES products.
  • Responding to and following-up on all sales leads with the manufacturing sales representatives.
  • Managing national accounts with the manufacturing sales representatives.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders and sales representatives to ensure XERXES products are manufactured and delivered to meet customer timelines.
  • Participating in trade associations, trade shows, preparing presentations and other related activities as applicable.

 

Internal and External Collaboration

  • Partnering with Xerxes manufacturing representative agencies in the territory to meet sales goals and objectives.
  • Establishing and maintaining close working relationships with internal stakeholders including engineering, manufacturing, sales support, field service, and accounting;

 

Market Strategy and Pricing

  • Assisting in establishing and maintaining competitive pricing strategies for the underground fuel storage market and participating in market development by providing current, competitive field information to management;

 

Sales Reporting and Documentation

  • Completing required sales documentation and reporting, including monthly sales forecasts, sales goals and objectives, and sales account plans.
  • Monitoring underground fuel storage budgets and regulatory activity within the given territory and briefing the sales team as appropriate/
  • Monitoring federal, state, and local legislation that may affect the sale or installation of XERXES products;

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum College Diploma Education; or Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g. marketing, engineering, or a technical discipline)
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in a sales, business development, or sales manager role - Must   
  • Previous leadership experience managing a sales team or external sales reps - Must
  • Previous experience in selling capital equipment, or Engineered/ Industrial Products; and managing customer accounts in the following industries: petroleum equipment, mining / oil & gas, construction, manufacturing, utilities - Must
  • Previous experience in Fuel Market - preferred
  • Must Reside in the sales territority (South East) near major airports.
  • Possess valid driver’s license and passport, and ability to travel 50% of time primarily in the sales territory
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to develop positive working relationships with both internal and external customers
  • Excellent analytical, decision making, and negotiating skills
  • Strong organizational skills and time management skills including the ability to handle multiple and competing tasks while still meeting deadlines
  • A self-starter who takes a proactive approach and has a strong work ethic and desire to win
  • Strong computer skills including and good knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook
