Role Details:

Full-time, permanent, 50 hours per week, 10 hours per shift

Summary

As a Molder, you will play a key role in manufacturing high-quality fiberglass reinforced plastic products that support our customers and operations. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for producing single-wall and double-wall shells, domes, and related products while maintaining quality standards, meeting production requirements, and contributing to a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Apply materials by hand and/or machine to produce standard and non-standard components and products according to established procedures.
  • Prepare molds and tool surfaces using release film, wax, and other release products.
  • Utilize resin, glass, catalyst, mold releases, and related materials while adjusting application methods to changing environmental conditions.
  • Trim parts to required dimensions using process sheets, standards, drawings, and verbal instructions.
  • Inspect laminate surfaces for defects, imperfections, foreign materials, and other non-conformances, taking corrective action as required.
  • Maintain quality standards while managing time and material usage effectively to meet production goals.
  • Follow all health, safety, and security requirements and actively promote a safe work environment.
  • Report incidents immediately and participate in investigations as required.
  • Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and managers to support workflow and production objectives.
  • Provide recommendations to improve process efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous manufacturing experience is not required.
  • Experience in a fiberglass reinforced plastic manufacturing facility or similar industrial environment is considered an asset.
  • Strong production and quality-focused manufacturing skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new tools, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
  • Basic mathematical skills required for measuring, calculations, and production-related tasks.
  • Experience working in a Lean manufacturing environment is an asset.
