Summary

As an Equipment Operator, you play a key role in keeping production running efficiently by ensuring all materials are available exactly where and when they are needed. Reporting to the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor, you support the full material flow process—replenishing workstations, assisting with shipping and receiving activities, maintaining inventory accuracy, and keeping work areas clean and organized. Your work directly enables production teams to stay focused on building high‑quality products.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare and kit materials for workstations and deliver them to point-of-use locations.
  • Package cut materials and operate material-handling equipment to stock assigned locations.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with production departments to resolve material shortages and ensure consistent replenishment.
  • Cut fiberglass fabric to order specifications while monitoring waste and utilizing patterns or molds.
  • Follow blueprints, drawings, job routings, and create layouts or patterns as required.
  • Retrieve bulk materials from inventory, maintain accurate records, and complete cycle counts.
  • Monitor daily fiberglass material inventory and notify supervision of low levels.
  • Maintain a clean, efficient work area and participate in 5S/lean activities such as cleaning, organizing, and painting.
  • Verify incoming materials for accuracy, quantity, and condition; store raw materials and maintain tracking systems.
  • Move completed products to storage or shipping areas; organize loads and prepare tanks and accessories for shipment.
  • Assist with loading products and securing them for transport.
  • Support production by moving parts, supplies, and products; signal equipment operators during movement.
  • Report any defects or non‑conformance issues to supervisors.
  • Maintain appearance of the yard and warehouse, including debris removal and clean-up activities.
  • Ensure tools and equipment remain in good working condition and assist with inventory counts.
  • Perform snow removal when required and support other departments as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety rules, contribute to safe operations, and assist with generating HAA and SOP documents.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Ability to learn and operate hand tools, power tools, and forklifts safely.
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints, drawings, job routings, and use ERP systems.
  • Strong multitasking skills in a fast‑paced, customer‑driven environment with a sense of urgency.
  • Solid mathematical skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and efficient workspace.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, crouch, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to follow instructions and comply with all procedures and policies.
  • Availability for variable hours, including overtime and weekends.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Commitment to safe work practices and supporting safe operations.

Compensation: $25.75/hr.
